Croydon Hall is available for exclusive hire on a self catering or a fully catered basis for groups of 40 to 80 for a minimum of 2 nights. When you hire Croydon Hall the hire fees include use of the all the function rooms, the dining room, the fully equipped commercial kitchen, drawing room, the bar lounge & enough bed rooms for your group. Use of all our equipment such as fridges, freezers crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs, serving plates, tables, chairs, yoga mats, garden furniture etc for your function spaces are all included within the hire fee. Should you require any equipment we do not have it can be hired locally.

We can recommend local caterers who have been carefully selected to deliver high quality meal packages according to your specifications and in line with your budget. Alternatively you can bring your own caterers or you can self-cater.

As you may expect with a beautiful rambling country house, Croydon Hall offers a variety of function rooms for your exclusive use for workshops, classes, parties, weddings and gatherings.

Each room varies in size and the furniture and equipment can be arranged according to your requirements. We are happy for furniture to be moved as long as you replace it where you found it on arrival. We can provide staff to help you with furniture & room set up or to deal with catering or other deliveries, just ask.

Our caretaker and housekeepers live nearby and are on hand to assist you as much or as little as you like during your stay here.

The Drawing Room

On the ground floor in the heart of the main house, the drawing room is a wonderful bright room with the original wood parquet flooring and a magnificent bay window overlooking the glorious gardens. It is furnished with large sumptuous sofas, a 50inch TV & a built in music system. This is the perfect room for you and your guests to relax.

The Drawing Room can be used as a function room with the furniture removed or moved aside. There is direct access to the gardens and a door opens into the dining room.

Room dimensions: 12mtrs (40 ft) x 5.5mtrs (18 ft) not including the bay – 70 sq m.

The Quantock Suite

This is a carpeted room and can be used as a conference, seminar or art room on the first floor of the main house with stunning panoramic views of the gardens and Quantocks Hills beyond. This room can accommodate 25 to 35 people seated.
This room is usually furnished with 9 single beds and has an en-suite.

Room dimensions: 9.1mtrs (30ft) x 6.1mtrs (20ft) - 55 sq m.

The Old Barn

This is a wonderful building detached from the main house and offering a high degree of privacy. It has its own toilet and shower facilities and three function/venue rooms and a games room. The building has wheel chair access on the ground floor from the rear car park.

The Barn

This is a large uncluttered room making it a perfect venue for large gatherings, meetings and conferences and an ideal space for dance, music and theatre workshops. It can accommodate up to 120 people depending on the furniture layout. The room has high timber vaulted ceiling, large windows and a gorgeous honey-coloured wood floor. The lighting is flexible and dimmable and there is a wifi service and a hardwire connection to the Internet. Equipment for a public address system and music mixers and amplifier can be made available if required. This room also has a large wall mounted roll down projector screen.

Room dimensions: 17 mtrs (55 ft) x 9.2mtrs (30 ft) - 157 sq m.

Low Barn Room

This uniquely shaped carpeted room on the ground floor offers space for small groups up to 15. Alternatively this is a useful area as a breakout room or for a casual bar or refreshment centre.

This room can also be used as a bunk room with 7 single beds.

High Barn Room

The only first floor room within the barn complex, this room is carpeted and can accommodate a small group of 10-12 people. This room can also be used as a bunk room with 7 single beds.

N.B. The seating numbers are flexible, depending on seating plans and the use of cushions or chairs. Flip chart boards and a portable projector screen can be made available if required.

The Bar/Lounge

The Bar has a wet bar equipped with 2 large fridges a bar store and all the glasses you need, hirers can self stock the bar or have their caterers or bar service do it for them. Croydon Hall makes no additional corkage charges though hirers will need to agree terms with bar service providers.
The Lounge area has squashy sofas, bucket chairs and low tables by the open fire.(fuel supplied in winter) A selection of books and board games are available here.

Room dimensions 7.7mtrs (25ft) into the bay window by 6.7mtrs (22ft) into bar area (44 sq mtrs).

The Study/TV Lounge

This is a small flexible room with a TV & DVD player with video movie library and a large sofa.
The TV & DVD play can be moved to the Drawing Room if required.
This room can also be used as a treatment room with visiting massage and treatment specialists. If the furniture is not required in the drawing room it can be stored in this room.

The Dining Room

The dining room is divided into 2 linked areas with tables and chairs for 70/75 people.
The outer 'Orangery' area has access to the gardens and views of the Quantocks. The inner dining room with oak floor has access to the open servery and is linked to the kitchen .
There is also a permanent tea & coffee service area next to the servery equipped with plumbed-in hot water, milk fridge and everything needed to provide hot drinks. (Hirers or their caterers provide all consumables). An under counter fridge is available in the dining room for individual guest's needs in case the kitchen fridges are fully used by your caterers. Tables and chairs can be arranged in any formation required. Along one side of the inner dining room are oak cupboards equipped with all the crockery, glasses and cutlery required for up to 80 guests. Both rooms have dimmable lighting.
